Have you ever wanted to speed up your WordPress site? One of the easiest ways to do that is with a Content Delivery Network (CDN). Here on WPForce.com, I use MaxCDN.
So why MaxCDN over the other networks?
I’ve come to love how easy it is, for a non-server admin like myself, to use the interface. It’s straight forward, intuitive, and let’s me do what I need to do. It comes loaded with beautiful graphing and helps me get to the data I need to, quickly.
Pricing. When you look at their pricing structure, you can immediately see that it’s built for small to medium businesses. MaxCDN offers an enterprise solution through NetDNA, their parent company, but through MaxCDN, the pricing is hard to beat. Starting at just $39.95 for 1TB of bandwidth? Now that’s how you roll a CDN for the smaller guys.
Wonderful, Human Support
Their support team rocks. They tweet, they email, they call, just about any communication method you want, they’re there for you. They are fast, responsive, and their customer service team knows how to treat their customers right.
Speed, Speed, Speed
I never choose a service just because of their customer service or their pretty graphs. The service itself needs to be blazing fast. MaxCDN delivers.
Which WordPress plugin should I use?
The most popular, and MaxCDN recommended, plugin is W3 Total Cache. I use W3TC here on WPForce.com and it was really easy to setup and configure. If that plugin is too heavy for your needs, you could take a look at CDN Sync Tool as well.
MaxCDN works with a lot of different CMS’ though, not just WordPress. They also offer plugins for Magento, Joomla, Drupal, SocialEngine, OpenCart, IP.Board, and vBulletin.
