Brad Williams, founder of WebDevStudios, couldn’t make it all the way out to San Francisco for this year’s WordCamp SF.
Instead, he’s streaming it in style.

Paying for a live stream is something new that Automattic added this year. Total sales for Live Stream + T-shirt is 229 and Live Stream only is at 317, for a total of $7,292 in sales. That’s a fairly big chunk of revenue considering that many other WordCamps offer live streaming for free.
I wonder if this will become a trend — charging for live stream access — or if this is particular just for WordCamp SF since it’s the official WordCamp.
Are you watching the live stream? What are your thoughts on it?

I loved being able to watch it, but I think those of us that paid should have access to the whole thing so we can watch more of the speakers at our leisure. On out own time. Yes?
