Andrew Nacin, one of the core WordPress developers, announced that the WordPress.org site, along with bbpress.org, buddypress.org, api.wordpress.org, translate.wordpress.org, and probably a number of other sites, all have been moved to a nginx-powered web server — away from Litespeed and Apache.
After doing some research among the three webservers, Apache, Litespeed, and Nginx, Ngninx certainly comes out a winner. I considering even trying to switch WPForce.com over to Nginx, but we’ll see how well cPanel can handle that.
What do you think about web servers and WordPress? Let me know in the comments.
